Year 3 transported to ‘Ancient Egypt’

A special ‘Virtual Reality’ experience took over Town last week as students were given a unique insight into life in the past.

The workshop was designed to transport pupils back in time to discover a period of ancient history for themselves.

They were able to step foot inside a reconstructed tomb and see a whole city brought back to life. Plus they got to come within touching distance of the pyramids.

Year 3 teacher Miss Hothi says all those who took part really enjoyed the experience:

“The children were amazed by taking a look inside a reconstructed tomb which was a topic of conversation for the majority of the afternoon. All children were really engaged within the workshop and enjoyed all aspects of it, especially at the end when they had time to visit the Ocean. Some children described it as the “best day ever”.
