Mrs Gilmour returns as permanent Deputy Head

We are delighted to confirm the permanent return of Mrs Julie Gilmour as Deputy Head.

Having joined in April 2014, Mrs Gilmour was a much loved member of staff, helping train new teachers, produce numerous school plays and operating as our Designated Safeguarding Lead, an area of expertise which drew our parent trust to appoint her as Safeguarding Director last summer.

However, with a vacancy to fill and her deep affection for the school, she has made the decision to return.

Headteacher Mrs Smith says her appointment is a huge boost for the school:

“Her knowledge and experience gained over a decade of previous service to Town will help provide stability and continuity.

We are immensely grateful to our colleagues at Broadleaf Partnership Trust for allowing her to relinquish her role and make the move back to us.

She has done an excellent job in revamping safeguarding within our Trust, and will continue to lead the safeguarding network she has built, increasing consistency and collaboration between Town and our community of schools.”
